WHERE: The 26^th Annual Klingspor’s Woodworking Extravaganza will be held at the Hickory Metro Convention Center (1960 13^th Ave. Dr. SE) in Hickory, North Carolina.

WHEN: The festival will take place on Friday, October 23, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

ADMISSION: Admission to the show and parking are free. Visitors can enjoy a few free Fuji apples from Hendersonville, North Carolina, while they walk the show floor.

HIGHLIGHTS: Klingspor’s Woodworking Extravaganza is North Carolina’s premier annual woodworking trade show and community event, hosted by Klingspor’s Woodworking Shop. The show is the largest of its kind in the region.

• Top Brands on the Show Floor—More than 50 major tool manufacturers will set up shop, including brands such as SawStop, Festool, Powermatic, Jet, Rikon, Bessey, Laguna, Arbortech, Kutzall, Flexcut, and Klingspor Abrasives. The event is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with equipment, ask technical questions directly to factory reps, and catch show-exclusive discounts.
• Live Demos & Guest Makers—The weekend features 25+ free live demonstrations on woodturning, scroll sawing, joinery, marquetry, Japanese Kumiko, and power carving. The event hosts the annual Catawba Valley Woodcarvers Competition and Show, showcasing incredible hand- and power-carved artwork, along with the Carve It Up USA contest. This year brings the addition of the inaugural NC Woodturners Association’s Woodturning Competition. Participants will win ribbons and prize money for their beautiful artwork.
• Hands-On & Family Activities—The show is designed to appeal to all skill levels and ages. Attendees can try soap carving, visit basic power-carving workstations, or participate in beginner pen-turning and honey-dipper lathe sessions.
• Local Clubs & Community—Regional woodworking organizations, such as the NC Woodturners, Western Piedmont Woodcrafters, and Southeastern Pyrography Association, will set up booths to share their work, recruit new members, and foster the local maker community.
• Door Prizes & Giveaways—Attendees can enter raffles for major machinery, power tools, and store gift cards.
